We moved to Tampa in 1986. I had never lived in a city that had an NFL team, and I was instantly a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan. I bought a helmet (yes, the hideous Buccaneer Bruce orange & white one). I bought some shirts. I bought a coffee mug. I think I may have even had a hat. I suffered through Vinny Testaverde back when he sucked at quarterback for the Bucs. I suffered through Trent Dilfer back when he sucked at quarterback for the Bucs. The Bucs got new owners and new uniforms. I bought new shirts and a new hat. I’ve cheered, I’ve laughed, I’ve wanted to jump from the highest rooftop.
