Best & Worst Cities to Look for a Job

I was understandably interested in this Techcrunch post highlighting Indeed’s June 2009 data on the best & worst cities in which to look for a job.

Not surprisingly, the top three are:

  1. Washington, DC
  2. Jacksonville, FL
  3. Baltimore, MD

Why “not surprisingly”? Well, if you’ve been playing along on the home version of “Where is Kevin today?”, you might recall that I’ve been to those areas repeatedly over the last three weeks. Of course, trends are just compilations and not specific to any one industry, so… grain of salt.

One place I haven’t been having much success? Orlando, which is ranked #42 out of 50… and falling.

As for me, no big announcements to make just yet. As I’ve said before, I’ve got a lot of irons in a quite a few fires – and it looks like we’re making very good progress.

In the meantime, if you’re looking for a job, review or search the most recent job trends.
