And — just like that — we are done with tax season for another year. E-filed… e-finished.
For the fourth year in a row, we did all of our taxes online at TaxAct.com and it was (yet again) pretty painless. It was $10 for us to e-file our full return, which is not your basic EZ return. We had the move, job changes, my hobby job, etc, etc.
I gave up on TurboTax a few years ago and I can’t say enough good things about TaxAct. I really like that — since it is online — I can access my return (and past returns!) from anywhere. I can download and print PDFs, so archiving is a cinch. And it does a good job of preserving my information from one year to the next.
So… if you need to get your taxes done, and you like the wizard-y help that you get from a software box, you ought to give TaxAct.com a try.
PS – This is not a “paid” endorsement of Taxact. I just like it. It works for me. If you think it might work for you – check it out.
