Merrin and I got to see the “real” Florida this weekend from the deck of an airboat. (Pictures)
I gotta say, this is one of the coolest things you can do in Central Florida. We had a great time at Boggy Creek Airboat Rides on Lake Tohopekaliga — part of the headwaters of the Florida Everglades.
We saw endagered birds, a ton of turtles, and — of course — alligators.
If you haven’t been on an airboat ride, I would *highly* recommend it. We’re definitely going back one day to do the extended sundown tour.

Ok, we’re getting jealous of all the fun you guys are having while we’re here in the frozen tundra. I think a trip to Orlando may be in order.
