Installs itself? Not so much

I got this email from Apple today (despite the fact that I have already purchased, installed, and registered Leopard).

Judging from my experience and the experience of a couple of people, I don’t think I would have chosen the “it practically installs itself” as a slogan, seeing as it basically… does not.

Aside to Snarkwife – this one’s for you!

  1. Gee, I wonder if my wireless connection will hold up long enough for this comment to post?

So advanced, it practically dials the phone for you when you call technical support. 😉

  2. Just to be clear, I’m talking about this one – “‘it practically installs itself’ as a slogan, seeing as it basically… does not.”

  3. By the by, my wireless issues seem to have resolved themselves…my connection stability skyrocketed as soon as I…wait for it…plugged the power cord in. I realized I was experiencing 100% instability when I was just running on battery power.

So, as of now, I have no issues with Leopard.

  4. @ Stacy – Yeah, other than that battery thing.

    @ Camille – That’s what I thought you meant. 😉

I am still having some periodic issues since installing a Macbook firmware update, so I believe I must have some software incompatibilities somewhere. Ugh.
