We had an incredible New Year’s Eve weekend with the Coopers in East Texas.
Things down at the Swinging C Ranch are coming along nicely. The farm house is **amazing**.
I mean, when I first when down there I thought, “Wow, this is quaint,” and I was using the word quaint very loosely. But now – wow. That house is going to be really, really nice. Maybe I shouldn’t be so surprised because — after all — it is Josh and Camille and they’re going to do it right, but…. damn. It’s awesome.
Josh did let us help a little around the house – we took a caravan of pickups & SUVs to load a few beds and their big couch into the farm house. For all intents and purposes, their in their new home.
We got the most out of every minute with the Coopers. Playing with G, duck hunting (! woot !) with Josh, and cracking jokes with Camille.
We bought some world-class fireworks and shot them off right before midnight. Josh and I put on a big time fireworks show for the family. I think I had as much fun shooting them off as they did watching them. These suckers were B-I-G!!! We’re talking Disney-esque fireworks for about 45 minutes. I’ve posted some of the highlights on video for you to enjoy.
Finally, since it’s the 2007, I’ve started my “Project 365“. The goal is to take at least one unique picture from my day & to post it as a “scrapbook” of my year, so to speak. I’ve added a Project 365 link to my sidebar & I’ll post a photo from my set every week or so on the main blog.
What great start to the year: friends, family, and fireworks.
That’s a really cool idea…the photo a day. One of my new year’s resolutions (I hate that term, but it sounds so much more chic than “goals”) is to take more pictures, and document my life a little better that way.
Happy new year!
I’m so glad you had a good time. I can’t wait for y’all to come back when we have everything moved in and in place. We enjoyed having ya. Thanks for the awesome fireworks!
