Well that was really easy. Thanks to the dear, sweet Mrs. Donahue – I’m now cruising the highways & byways of our great nation with the help of Sirius Satellite Radio. I got a Sirius Starbase unit and did the install myself today. Looks great, if I do say so myself.
Now I know what you might be thinking – this has something to do with Howard or Hef – nah. I just want a lot of good music, some decent talk, traffic & weather and NO COMMERCIALS.
That, and Radio Margaritaville, of course.
What a co inky dink, my Dear Sweet Wife got me the Starmate Replay model. The artist/song alert is cool.
Stern can take his filth and spew it, but 98 is all ‘Stones, all the time.
And even though the speakers in the schmedmobile are shot, the thing has a headphone jack!
Oh yeah – don’t forget that you can log in online and listen too (like I’ve been doing all day).
Great wifes think alike, and we’re two lucky dudes, right?
F yeah – we’re VERY lucky. The Stones channel has been extended too. 🙂
I am even thinking of making the switch. Partially because I do miss Stern..either I want to listen to Stern or music and you just can not find music only in the mornings.
I’ve been with Sirius for a while now. My car had XM built in, and came with a 3 month trial, so I tried it. I survived about 1 month, then took the car in and had my Sirius installed. The music on XM blows compared to Sirius. How they can have more subscribers is truly mindboggling.
One thing about streaming Sirius over the interweb: if you’re doing it at work, don’t be surprised if you get a visit from your company’s webnazis. Streaming audio is kinda bandwidth intensive.
