The lovely Mrs. Donahue is all up in my grill because she doesn’t know what to get me for Christmas. I promise, I’m not holding out – I really don’t know.
I know I’m hard to shop for because I rarely find anything that I *want* for Christmas. I don’t know why that is exactly, but I think it’s because I tend to talk myself out of a lot things that initially spark my interest.
What’s a boy to do?!

She needs to start making mental notes or writing stuff down during the year, that you want, but never get around to buying. the meester is exactly the same way you are, but because I just kept track of stuff and made a list as he told me, he’s totally making out like a bandit.
That’s a good idea, except for the fact that every time he wants something (like a new laptop, a truck, an ipod), he just goes out and buys it, which leaves me exacty….oh, yeah, nothing….to get him as a gift. See my dilemma?
I don’t buy everything I want. There are some things that I talk myself out of and then –upon further review– determine that I really don’t need.
Sounds like you are getting socks!
Try this, Kev: ask for something she’ll find completely outrageous or repulsive. She won’t have any trouble coming up with something else.
