10 years & a truck

I learned today that I am now, officially, a Texan. I may be an adopted Texan, but with 10+ years and a truck, I’m a Texan.

I never ask a man where he’s from. After all, if he’s from Texas he’ll probably tell me, and if he’s not I don’t want to embarrass him.

  1. We’re trying to be Coloradan’s. We have two jeeps and a log house…we just can’t bring ourselves to wear socks with sandals.

I saw this at a crafty stand:
I wasn’t born in Colorado, but I got here as soon as I could.

  2. Whereas here in California, they say, “Welcome to California. NOW GET THE @#$& OUT!”

There are definitely some things I miss about Texas.

  3. I’ve lived here for most of the past 20 years, but I’ve never owned a truck. (Although my ex-husband had one, but I made him sell it before we moved to Germany, so I didn’t ever really claim ownership of it.) That means I’m not a Texan, right? RIGHT???
