Today is Canadian Thanksgiving. The Canuck in our office had lots to say (as always) and I made jokes at her expense (as always). It’s also Columbus Day.
The funniest part of the “holiday” though was listening to the extreme bastardization of history and geography that transpired when another co-worker somehow combined the two:
“You know…Columbus discovered Canada, celebrated Thanksgiving, and…you know…then sailed on to America…about a month later…which is why our Thanksgiving is a month or so after Canada’s.”
Eh? Eh.
