If I had one extra day

It’s “Leap Day” and it ought to be the one day where everybody in the world can just catch up on whatever they want. Well, as fate would have it, one extra day in my life means going into the office on Sunday for a reception with this year’s college students, amid 50+ mph gusts and a torrential downfall that looks to bring 3+ inches of rain to the neighborhood. Gee, thanks. This is *exactly* what I had in mind. With any luck, the neighbors’ fence will blow down and I’ll have to stand out there in the rain tonight getting it back up. Joy.

Like I said, if I had one extra day….

UPDATE: The neighbors fence (the one the city told him to repair/replace) has blown over. I’m shocked. No, really. I’m shocked. Who could have seen this coming two hours ago?

  1. Congrats on your BlogMadness win – looks like your new buddy and I face off the next round. I am so toast. ;-)) It’s been fun. Glad to have met you. Good luck in the finals.

  2. Yep, still down. I’m pretty sure they haven’t noticed it, though, since their DOGS WERE RUNNING WILD IN OUR BACK-FRIGGIN’-YARD!!!!!
    There, I feel better now.

  3. Yeah, but it did absolutely no good. Now I’m leaving the thing down on principle. Well, that, and the fact that more bad storms are in the forecast….
