Well, the Sooners lost. (Actually, routed might be a more appropriate term.) I was really hoping they would beat K-State because it’s a lot more fun to see someone run the table, go undefeated, and win the National Championship. I’m still thinking they can, but we’ll have to wait and see.

With such a big loss to Kansas State, there’s a very real chance they could take a hit in the polls and end up missing the Sugar Bowl all together. Ouch. Over at Fanblogs, one of the authors screen captured the OU Sugar Bowl merchandise. A little premature, perhaps? We’ll see.

  1. I think the current BCS predicament is quite comical or maybe it is not the BCS debacle itself but my husband’s reaction that has me grinning. Ever since OSU lost their chance at going undefeated he’s been hoping for a major melt-down and now as he put it “this is even better than I could have imagined” – the grin and laugh are straight out of a melodramic silent movie.

I’m hoping that the Tigers can get things done in the dome but I know it will be a tough game. Of course even if they don’t win the big game at least they’ll be champs of their own conference.

  2. It think it kinda came down to that KState just wanted the game more than OU. KState obviously had watched a lot of film, and come up with a definite plan for the game that they executed very well. I think the LSU game will be a good one.

  3. Well you can breathe a little easier now, they’re still headed for the sugar bowl. My friends at work are predicting they will take it out on poor LSU. I don’t think I’d be in such a hurry to discount LSU in that game though.
