A few months ago, I posted about my DVD burner. On several occasions (1, 2, 3) I’ve spoken about my affinity for the greatness that is Netflix. (Psst…hey buddy…click to try Netflix for free!)
Well, over the last few months, I have heard rumors that people have been using Netflix as a “burn & return” service. Need to get the Sopranos box set but can’t spare the 80 bucks? Burn & return. Sounds tempting, I guess.
Now, I have no doubt that this is probably illegal; that being said, I can see how you could expand a DVD collection went from fairly robust to friggin’ awesome.
So, if you are one of the lucky ones that got a DVD burner (or even a DVD player) for Christmas, please allow me to introduce you to the greatness of Netflix.
PS – Don’t do anything illegal. I’m not suggesting you do anything illegal. I am not responsible for any actions you may take because you read this. In fact, I’m probably going to delete it. 😉
PSS – As a final caveat, if you try Netflix and decide you like it, I get a few dollars. I just thought I should get that out in the open. If you would rather try Netflix and have them avoid paying me, well then you could always just try Wal-Mart’s service or something else instead. 🙁
