Today is the closing day for the The 106th Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show, known far and wide as the Fort Worth Stock Show and rodeo. For the first time in years, Merrin and I did not get to go. 
I can remember when I first moved to Fort Worth. Merrin said, “Let’s go to the stock show!” I said, “Why the hell would I want to go to a stock show?” The rest, as the say is history. The people, the pagentry, the rodeo, the expo, the food, the midway, the animals, the beer…. Man, I can’t wait ’till next year!
