What a week! I’m glad the holiday rolled around, otherwise I wouldn’t have ever recovered in time!
Merrin and I were in a wedding this weekend for our friends, Jennifer and Brian. Merrin was the Matron of Honor and I was an usher. Their wedding was wonderful – a very small, family affair. We had a blast dancing at their reception. We wish them all the best!
Merrin is off for the next week or so. (Use it or lose it vacation time!) She has been itching to redecorate our bedroom, inspired by her recent success in redecorating the guest bath. So, Sunday we dove headfirst into redecorating. I stripped all the wallpaper while Merrin got started on the paint. The idea was to tie our bedroom in with the style of the rest of the house, using a lot of the same colors. So, the paint is a rich brown. We got a new, mission-style headboard that matches the living room furniture to a tee! Merrin’s going to try to find replacements for the rest of the furniture this week.
So, the painting is all done and it looks great. I was doubting the brown, but it’s awesome. Very warm. Merrin is jazzing the room up with new window treatments and lots of warmth. It’s a great room. I can’t wait until the furniture is finished. I will try to post a couple of pictures of the room when it is done.
Anyway, that’s all I know (I think!) If I left anything out, it’ll be here next week!
