Let me be clear that its not the person who can talk someone into anything. Its not the hustler who is a smooth talker. The best salespeople are the ones who put themselves in their customer’s shoes and provide a solution that makes the customer happy.
The best salesperson is the one the customer trusts and never has to question.
The best salesperson is the one who knows that with every cold call made, they are closer to helping someone.

Sound corny. It is. Its also very simple.
Its also the most important job in every company. THere has yet to be a successful company that has survived with zero sales.
I couldn’t agree more. A lot of people have a lukewarm opinion of salespeople – generally because they’ve been expsosed to the bad ones. Most people will never come into contact with a good salesperson professionally. Why? If they’re worth their salt, a good salesperson is talking to your boss’s boss’s boss. Professional sales has been a hell of a ride.
